Refund and Returns Policy – Kathait Gold (Upfront Enterprise)

Welcome to Kathait Gold, a brand of Upfront Enterprise, Dehradun. This Refund & Returns Policy explains the terms under which customers may request returns, exchanges, and refunds. We follow the Consumer Protection Act 2019, FSSAI guidelines, and standard e-commerce practices to ensure transparency and customer satisfaction.


1. Eligibility for Returns

1.1 Food Products (Flour, Spices, Oils, Cold-Pressed Oils)

Due to strict hygiene and food safety regulations, opened food products cannot be returned.
Returns are accepted only in the following cases:

  • Product damaged during transit
  • Product defective, spoiled, or expired at delivery
  • Wrong item delivered

1.2 Non-Food Products (Cosmetics, FMCG, Household Items)

These products are eligible for return if:

  • Unused
  • Unopened
  • In original packaging with all labels intact

2. Return Request Timeline

  • All return requests must be initiated within 7 days of delivery.
  • After 7 days, items are not eligible for return.

  • Photos/videos of the issue
  • Reason for return

3.3 Return Approval

Once approved:

  • We arrange a reverse pickup (where serviceable), OR
  • You may need to courier the product back to us

All returned items undergo inspection before final approval.


4. Refund Policy

4.1 Refund Timeline

Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days.

4.2 Mode of Refund

  • Online payments → Refunded to original payment method
  • Cash on Delivery orders → Refunded via bank transfer or UPI

Refunds are issued only after verifying product condition.


5. Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items

  • Opened or used food items
  • Products with tampered or missing packaging
  • Clearance, discounted, or sale items (unless defective)

6. Order Cancellation Policy

  • Orders can be cancelled before dispatch only.
  • If shipped, cancellation is not possible—however, eligible items may be returned as per policy.

7. Exchange Policy

Exchanges are permitted only if:

  • You receive a defective product
  • You receive the wrong item

A replacement will be shipped after the return is inspected and approved.
